Backdrops

Time to kick it up another notch.

Artist Damon Soule has aways been an inspiration to me, making pieces look simple, but phenomenally intricate with beautiful backdrops. Stay tunes.

Kid Dynamite

Much love to Iron Mike. Working on an A1 piece seemed the only way to go about it.

Something that I'd realised whilst working on the last piece for the Sekaido competition was how lacking in experience I am when it comes to large scale pieces.. Making sure to have at least one large scale painting on the go from now on..

Cherry

Looking at artist Gretchen Hancock's work allowed me to loosen the flat edge a little.

Achieving the blocky but descriptive simple strokes is where I'm looking to be.

James Gandolfini - final

A3 Wood - Acrylics / Pencils

Was pretty happy to leave the piece at this point. Although not perfect, overworking the shading would've created a much darker piece than wished.
