Tetris - color concepting

Carrying on with this weeks trials, tried using a few different brushstrokes alongside the colour variants. Overall it's become clear that in order for everything to fit together, composition is critical.

30cm x 45cm / wood / acrylics

Some interesting tones in there to think on.

Tetris - background expansion finish

Pretty happy with the outcome. Although a lot has to do with block composition, the mixture of tones and directions with the back strokes really does bring a new dynamic to the piece.

Experimenting one

Trying out splatter effects to emphasise movement but not really feeling it.

Sure there's room for improvement but I'm just not feeling it.

Tertis Blast

Baby steps at the moment but looking to get a bit messier with the backdrops.

Working on the backdrops first is new to me so looking forward to the finished results.
